Aadhaar Card

Most of the times the term ‘Aadhaar Card’ is used, in reality Aadhaar is not only a card.

The main potential or power is in the 12 digit NUMBER, the unique identification number that is know as Aadhaar. The number would be the base (Aadhaar) of many services that we are going to see both from government and private sector.
The Aadhaar is not a document like passport.

The card we receive is more of a piece of paper that we can keep to remember our Aadhaar number. The real power is the authentication of a person based on his/her bio-metrics (finger prints and iris scan) which will ensure a unique ID for every person.

The Gregorian calendar is used alongside the national Indian calendar. Like the solar calendar, the Indian calendar has tweleve months. There used to be dozens and dozens of Indian calendars all centered around each region’s religious festivals. Luckily, now there is only one standard Indian calendar. I have the Indian month which corresponds to a Gregorian month, so that you have some idea of when the Indian months take place.

1.Chaitra ( चैत्र ) - starts around March 21 (this year starts on 27th march.).

2.Vaisakha ( वैशाख ) - starts April 21.

3.Jyeshta ( ज्येष्ठ ) - May 22.

4.Aashaadha ( आषाढ ) - June 22.

5.Shraavana ( श्रावण ) - July 23.

6.Bhadrapada ( भाद्रपद ) - August 23.

7.Ashwin ( अश्विन् ) - September 23.

8.Kartik ( कार्तिक ) - October 23.

9.Margashirsha ( मार्गशीर्ष ) -November 22.

10Pausha ( पौष ) - December 22.

11.Magh ( माघ ) - Janurary 21.

12.Phalguna ( फाल्गुन ) - February 20.
