Fix-hijacked+browser

The saying Necessity is the mother of Invention applied on me in last days, when I felt that my pc affected by Viruses, threats and online attacks because before it I had never consider security for my computer. I used updated antivirus(freeware) bt sometimes its not very effective in certain conditions. Due to this I had a sudden idea in my mind that if anti-virus failed to protect my pc from threats and hackers attacks then I would lost my all important bookmarks, browsing history and even passwords. So I found some useful tips to avoid such conditions.
"Browser hijacking" is a type of online fraud. Scammers use malicious software to take control of your computer's internet browser and change how and what it displays when you are surfing the web.
If you keep your pc updated with the latest security software and updates and practice safe internet browsing you are already doing a lot to keep the hijackers away.
But if you are already victim of a hijacked browser there are several ways you can combat online fraud, free your browser from the hackers and restore its settings.

The following tips can help restore your browser's settings:-
1.Stop cascading pop-up windows. If endless pop-up windows appear on your screen, you will probably want to stop them first. To do this in microsoft windows7, winXP, winVISTA or win8 while using Internet Explorer: Press CTRL+ALT+DEL, click Task Manager and then Click the processes tab.
Click IEXPLORE.EXE and then click the End Process button. You should also have a pop-up blocker turned on.


2.Disable add-ons, many browser hijacking come from add-ons, also known as ActiveX controls, browser helper objects or toolbars. These items can improve your experience on a website by providing multimedia or interactive content, such as animations.

Guys, Facebook is a #1 social networking site in which you may spent your 4 or 5 hours daily approximately. Almost Every Net+citizen have registered in it. you many friends in your Friend+List, Some peoples have hundreds +(plus) friends and some peoples must have thousands +(plus) friends in their friend+list. but out of these hundreds and thousands friends we connected only with few ones. You have been received activities of these hundreds and thousands friends in facebook who joined you recently..In Facebook, it shows the
activities of those on top who recently joined you and also suggests friends from newly added friends. Due to this, you may not be able to see your old friends activities who joined you when you first connected in facebook. If you dont  want to see such activities of those friends whose you dont know well or you dont want to make friendship with them but you want to keep them in your Friend+List in ideal condition.
Then follow these steps:
1.Click or Open the profile of that person whose activities you dont want to see.
2.[If you using mobile] Select 'info' of that person whose activities you dont want to see.
3.Change to 'Unsubscribe' to that person.
4.Now, you will never see his/her activities until you select 'Subscribe'.  

Disable CD/DVD or USB Autoplay

Disable CD/DVD or USB drive Autorun Well, this is one of my most suggested and favorite computer trick. What this small trick does is, it simply makes you to disable Autorun of any removable drives such as CD, DVD, Pen drives etc. You might have noticed often that, whenever you plugin your USB in to the Usb port or when you insert a CD or DVD into the CD/DVD Rom drive, Auto play option automatically gets executed. It is very dangerous to allow any drive auto play on its own, specially USB drives. Because, along with Autorun files, USB drives containing virus also gets executed resulting your computer affected by virus or Trojan horses. So this trick goes this way. Disable CD Auto run.
Follows+these+Steps:
1) Click Start, Run and enter GPEDIT.MSC.
2) Go to Computer Configuration, then-> Administrative Templates, ---> System.
3) Locate the entry for Turn auto play off. Double click on it.
4) Click on Enable.
5) Select All Drives to disable all drives including USB drives or only CD Rom drive, according to your choice.
6) Now click on apply.
